Nanci Kahn

Nanci Kahn is photographer and artist living in Falmouth, Maine. She has a MFA in Photography with Distinction from the San Francisco Art Institute. Her work is in the permanent collections of the Portland Museum of Art, National Museum of Ethiopia, Kroch Library at Cornell University, University of New England and more. She is the Curator of Photography at the Maine Jewish Museum and also works as an Assistant Preparator at the Portland Museum of Art. Nanci’s photographic practice stretches from the street shooting style of her heroes like Henri Cartier-Bresson and Diane Arbus to photographic installation incorporating sculptural elements and alternative printing methods such as printing on silk and fabric.
